That about says it all to me. If you’re not even willing to approach the subject with an open mind in the first place, then guess what….no surprise you aren’t willing to draw the obvious and factual conclusion.

Dept. of Homeland Security released new ‘deportation’ stats.
’bout 280,000 deported for 2007 compared to ’bout 160,000 for 2006. At least they’re getting busier and finally doing the right thing.
Only problem is, they need to be increasing those numbers to at least 1 million or more to have a substantial impact for the entire nation instead of just local areas along the border itself.

My friend, it’s call sarcasm. You obviously haven’t read anything else on this site because if you had you’d quickly realize I agree with everything Dr. Bryson said.

Notice the comment before yours, he understood I was being sarcastic.

You don’t do yourself or climate science any favors with posts such as this. Bryson is far from a whacko. He said as far back as 1976 that rising CO2 would cause increases in temperature.

He is a skeptic. He challenges the methods used to produce the forecasts such as those, for example, used by IPCC.

The only way this issue ever reaches a point where it is, for the most part, agreed scientifically what can and cannot be stated with a high degree of probability, is if we are open and respectful to each others’ views.

To take on a man of the eminent qualifications of Dr. Bryson, you had better have more than some ad hominem slurs.

As a first impression of your site, I am underwhelmed.

Ya, no joke. How the heck do you get murdering, cowardly, thugs and demagogues to join you at the ‘Community Table of Peace and Brotherhood’?
Oh, I know, allow the “dress code” to include 18 pounds of C-4 strapped to their backside…….they’ll show up in the hundreds!!
Very short conversation occurs: “Allah Ackbar” right before the fireworks.

Maybe this tactic would work in the UN. :o)

Why is it making money and/or being ’successful’ is looked upon with such disdain by so many? Obviously, if the lazy sons of guns had as much money as those whom they despise, they’d be singing a different tune.
‘Course, I’m sure they’d blow it all in about a month on cheap booze, Brtiney Spears concerts, X-Box games, trips to Mardi Gras, fake boobs, fast cars, and oh yeah…..a new rap album and guest appearance on the most important show on T.V.: “American Idol”.

Socialism is definitely the ‘word’ for this one. They want as much as everyone else or more; but they just don’t want to have to do anything to get it. They want a hand out. Er…I mean, they’re ‘entitled’ to a handout.
